We draw lines on the side and arrows so they know which way to go and not to go too far in the road, and stop signs so they remember when to stop.  All the kids in the neighborhood enjoy using this and when it rains we have fun making them again. We painted a section of our side of the fence in colorful paints to look like a cafe and used chalkboard paint on part of it so they can write the menu or just to draw on.
