Definitions
Submitted Tip:
A Submitted Tip is any content entered into the Tip
Description box that passes the following requirements. There is a
500-character limit, so most tips will easily fit in the Tip Submission box.
Each tip must have a title (50 character limit), and the appropriate category
chosen.
Carefully review all your information before clicking
‘Next,’ including the Authorship Credit radio button marking your desired
credit. Also make sure you have checked the “Agreement to Terms” box. No tip
will be accepted if this box is not checked.
Once all these requirements are met, click ‘Next,’ and the
following page you see will be your payment verification screen. Your method of
payment you chose when you registered will be automatically selected, but you
can change your preference for any individual tip you submit. After you confirm
your method and click the ‘Submit A Tip’ button, it goes into our data bank for
review.
An Important Reminder: A SUBMITTED tip does NOT mean it has
been ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT.
To ensure Daytipper offers premium quality content, our
editors must REVIEW your tip and decide whether or not it meets our criteria
for publication. Daytipper has the right to refuse any tip for any reason. Any
tip submitted to Daytipper becomes the intellectual property of Daytipper,
which can use it at any time for any reason.
Accepted Tip (Pending Publish):
A Submitted Tip that passes the requirements of, but not
limited to, proper titling and labeling, originality, usefulness, and other
criteria, will be given the status of an Accepted Tip. An Accepted Tip means
that it has been approved and will be published. Some Accepted Tips will be
published on the next business day. Other Accepted Tips will take longer before
they are published. It just depends on the tip, the tip category, and the
number of tips already in the publish queue. Daytipper reserves and retains the
right to use any Accepted Tip in any way the site deems fit, for an infinite
amount of time.
Published Tip:
Once an Accepted Tip appears on Daytipper in any form to
users other than editors, owners, staff, or other agents of Daytipper.com, it
takes on the status of a Published Tip. Published Tips, like Submitted Tips and
Accepted Tips, become the intellectual property of Daytipper.com, which may use
it at any time for any reason.
In most cases, there will be a period of time between
publication and Daytipper payment to the submitter. Normally, the period
between publishing and payment is 7-10 days, but can be as long as 4-6 weeks.
In rare cases, a Published Tip may be removed from Daytipper
at the behest of the editors or ownership of Daytipper.com, or a third party
before payment is disbursed. In such a case, the tip that previously had both
Accepted and Published status will have its status marked as Submitted. At a
later time, the tip may regain Accepted and Published status. If it regains
Published status, the submitter will not receive additional compensation.
Any time the status of any given tip changes, an email
informing the submitter as such will be sent to the email address provided by
the submitter. |
