Get the best price for a used car
Depending on where you stay, they usually let you take a test drive unsupervised. Don't go anywhere but straight to a competing garage and ask to "trade in" or "part exchange" the vehicle. They will tell you everything that's wrong with it and offer the minimum amount possible. Politely decline and recite it all to your seller. I have had up to $1,000 knocked off this way!
